This week’s Compensation Clinic-case comes from my first ever stay at the Hyatt’s Centric-brand in Santiago de Chile.

I had few small issues at this hotel such as World of Hyatt-desk unmanned, upgrade not processed properly before arrival, given corner room when junior suite promised, trouble with the hotel Wifi (had to tether on the cell phone network) etc.
Did the after stay survey and also left feedback om TripAdvisor. Manager deposited 5,000 points for the inconvenience (didn’t ask).

This was my first stay at the Hyatt Centric-brand and had a second one last week in Lima. Not sure what to think of them? Felt Andaz minus or roughly IHG’s Kimpton with very few if any benefits for top tier World of Hyatt members besides breakfast.
No reason to give business in either Santiago or Lima for Hyatt considering that only Centric-properties around (Hyatt Place doesn’t count in Santiago).
